CLIENT
Arab American National Museum: Established as the pioneering institution of its kind in the United States, the Arab American National Museum (AANM) stands as a cultural touchstone, dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich tapestry of the Arab American experience. With its extensive archives, including historical documents, oral histories, and artworks, AANM serves as a bridge connecting communities to Arab American heritage and narratives.
OBJECTIVE
AANM embarked on a mission to enrich its exhibit technology by incorporating innovative animated videos. The goal was to enhance visitor engagement and offer interactive experiences that delve into key themes of Arab American culture and identity. Specifically, AANM sought assistance in creating four animated videos, each with a map/geography-based theme, to be displayed on a large screen wall within the museum premises. These videos, under two minutes each, were designed to communicate textual and visual content without audio or voice-over elements
PROCESS
3LC collaborated closely with the museum's research teams, curators, and educators to craft compelling narratives and visual messaging for each animation topic. We developed and refined the style and content of each animation, ensuring alignment with AANM's mission and values. We addressed unique challenges and opportunities of each individual animation while maintaining a cohesive and museum-quality clarity across all animations.
OUTCOME
The culmination of this collaborative effort resulted in the creation of four captivating animations, seamlessly integrated into an interactive display located at the museum's main staircase. Visitors now have the opportunity to engage with these animations, gaining insights into key topics that are central to AANM's mission. By offering dynamic visual explanations in a user-friendly format, AANM has elevated the visitor experience, fostering deeper connections and understanding of Arab American culture and heritage.
