Alternatives For Girls (AFG) is a Detroit-based nonprofit serving homeless and high-risk girls and young women. Since 1987, AFG has provided safe shelter, street outreach and educational support, vocational guidance, mentoring, prevention activities, and counseling.
OBJECTIVE
Identify and follow one young woman’s story to demonstrate the breadth and impact of AFG’s services.

PROCESS
Three Lyons Creative (3LC) worked with the Annual Fund Manager and Director of Fund Development to identify a strong story that would assist AFG in achieving their fundraising and outreach goals. We spent a day with Brijon and her twin sons first capturing a focused interview and then following her through the halls and resources of AFG. The final story was cut together in 1:16 with music and motion graphic pull quotes.
OUTCOME
The final video serves AFG in both their fundraising and outreach efforts. It has been shown across digital channels and at live events, including the "Positive Choices, Powerful Lives" event at Corner Ballpark.
