PROCESS
Three Lyons Creative spent three months filming the students and staff of MEP, particularly LaDawna and her daughter Shayla. We then spent two months crafting a narrative that not only lays out the hardships facing women of color in Detroit but also how an organization like MEP can provide resources to improve one's education and help end the cycle of poverty, regardless of age.
OUTCOME
The final completed product was a nearly 7-minute long mini-documentary that was shown at MEP's annual fundraiser, Doorway to the Future Dinner & Auction, where the organization's fundraising goal was met and exceeded.
