CLIENT
Transforming Power Fund: is a Detroit- based social justice fund committed to transformative systems change. They provide funding, training, and other resources for local projects that address root causes of systemic problems and advance holistic solutions. They prioritize community governance, donor organizing, and shared values* in order to model a more equitable approach to philanthropy.
OBJECTIVE
To create from scratch a brand identity package. As they reached out to us before they launched as an organization, their visual brand was non-existent. We were hired to create a logo, business card and letterhead as well as their website.

PROCESS
Through a thorough discovery process, we identified the main mission and values behind the organization. We used inspiration from music, texture, and culture, to create two distinct stylescapes. The selected stylescape provided direction for logo development. We then narrowed a group of sketches to three and developed each design until one was selected. Using the color, font choice, and feeling of the logo, we applied that look into the website, business cards, letterhead, and style guide.
OUTCOME
Transforming Power Fund launched in June of 2019 with a strong visual identity that felt accessible to and affirming of their community. They have consistency in their design from their first day. We are excited to watch their brand grow over time.
