Rashida Tlaib, a Democratic candidate running for State Senate in District 4 in the August 5, 2014 primary election ballot.
OBJECTIVE
Three Lyons was commissioned to create a comprehensive video to support the State Senate campaign of former State Representative Rashida Tlaib. Facing an incumbent with a well-known family name, she needed a video that would display her accomplishments as a dedicated public servant.

PROCESS
We worked closely with Rashida and her team to develop a concept that would capture the essence of her work as a leader in her community. We interviewed over 20 residents, volunteers, prominent community members, pastors, and government officials in order to fully illustrate just how great an impact Rashida has made on her community in her short time in office. By hearing real community members give their actual, passionate opinions, we wanted to reflect the genuine accessibility that Rashida possessed.
OUTCOME
The video was a success — it was viewed over 700 times on YouTube and was shown dozens of times at community meetings, fundraisers, and other events. It was a powerful fundraising tool and demonstrated to those with any doubt that Rashida was the woman for the job.
